The Facilitator

Casey Linwick-Rouzer has been a licensed, certified Davis Dyslexia Correction® Facilitator since 2004.

Casey was first introduced to the Davis Dyslexia Correction® program by her sister-in-law, a teacher who attended the Davis Fundamentals Workshop and who mentored two of her students using the Davis® tools. This resulted in amazing changes in a very short time. These success stories struck a chord in Casey and she knew she must learn more about this phenomenal program.

Within a month she had taken her first Davis workshop. She completed the intensive facilitator training in a year, and soon left her 35-year career in the airline industry to open New Perceptions Learning Center. Casey sees the Davis Programs as life changing for the individuals as well as their families.

About the same time she learned of Davis, Casey's daughter Kate was diagnosed dyslexic. The family felt just as lost as others who try many routes before finding Davis. Kate was frustrated with algebra because she could get the correct answer in her head, but made many mistakes in showing her work. Tutors taught the same way the teachers did, and caused more frustration.

Casey was told by one well-known dyslexia center that one of their tutors could work with Kate after school four days a week for two to four years, and maybe they would see results. That was daunting considering the time involved, let alone the expense, for the possibility that it might help. It was also not an option because of Kate's intense involvement in ballet.

Kate became one of Casey's very first successes. Big changes resulted, and she eventually did a complete program. Today she is a corrected dyslexic and a professional ballerina.

Casey herself is a life-long learner. After attending the University of Florida, she spent 35 years with two major airlines in flight service, marketing, recruiting and training. She has lived in more than 15 different cities, and in the Houston area since 1985. She loves people and travel and has many different interests, among them: photography, health and nutrition, energy psychology, and especially reading. She has served on the guild board of Kate's pre pro dance company, organized fundraisers, written publicity, photographed performances, sewn costumes (including tutus), and, with her wonderfully supportive and dyslexic husband Michael, danced in The Nutcracker for 8 years!

Her goal for clients is to empower them to discover the incredibly intelligent and gifted "Self" within and become life-long learners too!

M was diagnosed with moderate to severe dyslexia at the end of 2nd grade. When she started 3rd grade her reading skills were basically non-existent. I found out about the Davis program on-line, and she completed the 5-day Davis program in November of that year. We immediately noticed improvements in her reading ability. We followed through with all that Miss Casey recommended at home (and still do, more than 3 years later). M passed her reading TAKS test in 3rd grade, and in 5th grade received a "commended" score! At the end of 5th grade, the dyslexia specialist at school tests all the kids in the program - M was reading at an 11/12th grade level!

M receives accommodations through the dyslexia program at school, but will start middle school on a "consult only" basis. She also completed the Davis Math Mastery with Miss Casey in 2010, and passed her math TAKS. She is going to start 6th grade in the pre AP math class (her choice).

"I love this work! It is so rewarding to see my clients reach their goals in reading, math, coordination, and/or organization, and see confidence and self-esteem renewed or restored. But the surprising and wonderful 'side effects' are amazing to see unfold as well: losing a fear of descending stairs, tying shoes, telling time, riding a bike, making friends or getting better at a previously difficult sport."

"The possibilities are endless once Davis® has opened a new door!"
